City Taking Nominations For Mayor’s Community Awards

The City of Hopkinsville is taking nominations for its inaugural Mayor’s Community Awards, a chance to recognize and celebrate the unsung heroes in the community.

The awards will honor outstanding contributions in five categories: Small Business, Non-Profit, Volunteer(s), Education, and City Employee.

Amanda Brunt, information officer for the city, said nominations will be accepted until the final week of July.

education representative. She said they will present a short list of finalists to the mayor, who will make the final selection.

The winners will be recognized at an August reception.
