For the second straight year, Visit Hopkinsville is hosting the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee at the Alhambra Theatre.
26 students from grades 3-8 have earned their way to participate in the spelling bee after advancing through competition at their respective schools. Christian County will have 10 representatives competing in the spelling bee which will include contestants from six other counties.
The top three spellers will advance to the National Scripps Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. during Memorial Day week.
Saturday’s spelling bee will begin at 2:00 at the Alhambra.
