Trigger Hippy Coming Back To Alhambra Theatre In September

Tickets are on sale now for the Alhambra Theatre show that will welcome back Hopkinsville’s Steve Gorman.

The Pennyroyal Arts Council said the former drummer and founding member of The Black Crowes returns with his band Trigger Hippy on Saturday, September 18 at 7:00 p.m.

The council added Trigger Hippy brings a generous mix of country, Delta blues, R&B, and gospel as well as Southern rock and funk. The group will play songs from their second album, ‘Full Circle And Then Some,’ and others.

Gorman performed his first show in Hopkinsville at the Alhambra Theatre on February 28, 2020.

He lived in Hopkinsville between the ages of 10 and 21 and graduated from University Heights Academy in 1983.

Gorman was a part of The Black Crows between 1987 to 2001, and in 2019 he released a book about his time in the band. The Black Crowes topped the charts, graced the cover of Rolling Stone, and reigned supreme over MTV and radio waves alike with hits like “Hard to Handle,” “She Talks to Angels,” and “Remedy.”

He also has hosted various shows for Westwood One.

The show is sponsored by BryMak. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit pennyroyalarts.org.
