First United Methodist Church in Hopkinsville will be hosting a Music Camp later this month to help children burn off some of their summer energy.
Director of Children’s Ministry Charlotte Powell tells the News Edge the camp will take place the week of July 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day. Powell says the camp is available for students from preschool to 7th grade.
After the week-long camp, Kris Weathers, director of traditional worship, adds that parents will see the musical on Sunday, August 1.
The cost for the camp will be $20 a child and includes lunch and snacks each day.
Jeff Calhoun, director of modern worship, says it’s easy to sign-up for the camp on the church’s website.
The tryouts will be at 1:00 Sunday afternoon, July 25, at the church.
Calhoun adds children can even register on the first day of camp.
First United Methodist Church is located at 1305 South Main Street in downtown Hopkinsville.
