Man Charged After Shooting Sister With Pellet Gun

A Cadiz man was charged after he shot his sister with a pellet gun and assaulted a police officer Wednesday night

Cadiz Police say they were called to Cunningham Avenue after Christopher Davenport shot his sister with a pellet gun hitting her in the head.

When police arrived Davenport was reportedly found in the home next to his sister, when police asked to see his hands he fled on foot then assaulted an officer before being tased and arrested.

The sister was taken by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital then flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville due to her injuries.

Davenport was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, assault of a peace officer, third-degree terroristic threatening, and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
