A Cadiz man was charged after he fled from police and resisted arrest Friday night.
Cadiz Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle for not having a proper tag on Main Street and the vehicle sped up and turned onto Cunningham Avenue.
The truck that is known to be driven by 22-year-old Austin Gardner was located but he was not inside.
Officers say they went to Gardner’s relative’s home where he had already been given a trespass warning and found him.
Gardner reportedly would not stop walking away from officers and resisted arrest. He was taken into custody and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, and third-degree criminal trespassing.
