Authorities are investigating an incident in which a gun was accidentally discharged at Hopkinsville High School Monday afternoon.
In a statement, Hopkinsville High School Principal John Gunn says at 3:18 pm the weapon, which was in a backpack, went off. No one was injured and police have the student that had the gun in custody.
