Spring LIHEAP Subsidy Application Deadline June 30

Those who may need a bit of help paying for their electric bills this summer have just under a week to apply for assistance through the Spring Subsidy of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

Nan Tackett, Caldwell County CSBG Case Manger, says PACS is able to offer spring energy assistance this year, something they’ve not been able to do for a long time.

She adds the subsidy could potentially take two months to take effect so it’s not for immediate relief.

Tackett notes assistance is based on income and household size and is encouraging everyone to contact her to see if they are eligible for the program.

She explains that due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic all applications, which must be received by June 30th, must be completed entirely by phone but if need be in-person appointments are possible at her new office location.

For more information about the Spring LIHEAP Subsidy you can contact Nan Tackett at the Caldwell County PACS Office at 270-365-5097. You can also schedule a phone appointment by calling 270-632-2313 or you can fill out an online application for the subsidy here.
