Trigg Magistrates Hear First Reading Of Next Fiscal Year Budget

Trigg County Fiscal Court members heard the first reading of the 2019-2020 fiscal year budget and approved extensions and additions of country roads at Monday evening’s meeting.

Judge Executive Hollis Alexander presented the budget that was prepared by the budget committee and Treasurer Lucy Kyler.

He notes the budget is only increasing under 3.5%.

The first reading of the budget was approved by magistrates, with the second reading expected to take place at the first meeting in June.

In other business, magistrates approved extensions and additions of three county roads. Alexander says they received a request to extend Bay Colony Drive, which is off of B. Hall Road.

He adds requests have also been put in for Rennison Road and Hunter Road, both under half a mile.

Magistrates approved a time change for the next Trigg County Fiscal Court meeting. The meeting will start an hour earlier, at 5:00 on Monday evening, May 20.
