The 2018-2019 Hopkinsville-Christian County Leadership Class celebrated all the hard work they did at the Trail of Tears Commemorative Park and Heritage Center Friday afternoon.
Project Co-chair Robin Tabor says they have been working on making improvements to the park since January.
She adds the class voted to make it their project when they learned the needs of the park.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the park located at 100 Trail of Tears Drive off Pembroke Road in Hopkinsville. The Heritage Center is open weekdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and the weekends from noon to 4:00 PM.
