Around 60 Hopkinsville High School students attended the Kentucky Youth Assembly in Louisville last month.
Christian County Public Schools report numerous students from Hopkinsville High School served in leadership roles at the convention. Kentucky Youth Assembly gives students the opportunity to serve as part of a model state government. Around 1,800 students from across the state gather to tackle a wide variety of issues, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs through constructive engagement.
The Hopkinsville High School chapter of the Kentucky Youth Assembly was recognized as a Delegation of Excellence, advisors for the group are Kim Batts and Troy Goode.
