Strong Voter Turnout Statewide For General Election

It was a strong than expected voter turnout across the region for the General Election Tuesday. Statewide, Kentucky’s Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes says the turnout was about 47.38 percent.

Grimes says in a release the State Board of Elections will meet Tuesday morning, November 20, to certify vote totals for the general election.

Grimes notes the deadline to request a recanvass in any race is Tuesday afternoon, November 13. Requested recanvasses will be conducted Thursday morning, November 15.
