Pink Out Break Barriers To Find A Cure

WKDZ/WHVO hosted the annual Pink Out event Friday afternoon.

During the event, Trigg County Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander, Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble, and Cadiz Mayor Todd King proclaimed October 2018 as Breast Cancer Awareness month. Alexander says numerous new cases of breast cancer have and will be detected this year.

Congressman James Comer thanks every person who donates their time to the American Cancer Society to help raise funds to help find a cure.

Charles Hiter, owner of Champions Taekwondo Center in Cadiz says they were glad to partner with this year’s Pink Out to serve the community.

During the event, people were able to purchase boards and break them to raise additional money for Pink Out. The event was held as a time for awareness, celebration, remembrance, and support for anyone who has ever had cancer. All money raised will be split up between the Christian and Trigg County Relay for Life organizations.
