Sales and Marketing Assistant
As the the youngest member of the Ham Broadcasting Sales Team, I come full of energy and enthusiasm to meet the opportunities and challenges that each new day brings. I joined the team in May, 2011 as an Intern from Austin Peay State University and graduated in December, 2011, with a BS degree, majoring in Communications/Public Relations and Music. While at APSU, I was a member of the Governor’s Own Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Governor’s and Chamber Singers, and University Choir and was part of two Opera productions. I was an active member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity.
I have been the Music Minister at Kelly Baptist Church, Hopkinsville since 2010.
I like to spend my free time away from the office playing musical instruments, singing, following my favorite marching bands in Drum Corp International, watching sports, and especially cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcats. I actually am named after the famous #4 Wildcat, Kyle Macy, who you can hear every Tuesday and Thursday on WHVO’s Hoptown This Morning.
Born and raised in Christian County, I have become a huge part of the local communities through the radio station’s events like the Rotary Radio Auction, Ham Festivals, Relay for Life and Country Showdowns, just to name a few. You can always find me running around and helping the WKDZ/WHVO Team. When calling the radio station, you likely will hear the voice of, “Happy Kyle” (that’s me), answering your call. I especially enjoy getting to meet everyone that visits the station and those who I come into contact with out in the local communities.
I am proud to be an Eagle Scout and had the privilege of participating in the 2001 National Boy Scout Jamboree at Ft. AP Hill Virginia. Graduating in 2007 from Hopkinsville Community College, with an Associate in Arts degree, I was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. As a 2005 graduate of Hopkinsville High School, I was a member of the distinguished, award-winning HHS Choral Department and Marching Band of Tigers. Chosen by auditions, I was also an eight-year member of the Kentucky Baptist Convention All-State Choirs. With a passion for mission work, I have served on the mission field in Mississippi, Arkansas, and Eastern Kentucky.
I currently sing with the Little River Music Society, a Hopkinsville Community Choir that performs at many local events around the region. I will be getting married in June and I am looking forward to the changes that will bring as Courtney and I begin our life’s journey together.
