May 7th-13th- Water Week in Hopkinsville and Christian County

Jeffers Bend will host school children during that week to showcase their facilities, but official Water Week activities will be pushed back a few weeks to coincide with Take Kids Fishing Day.
Children and parents alike will take to Little River at Metcalfe Lane on Saturday, May 27 from 9:00 AM to Noon for the annual event. Pre-registration through May 20th will be $2 per child and adult. The cost rises to $3 on May 27th.
On that day, there will be water activities for all ages, including; a water slide, Hopkinsville Fire Department water exercises, a chance to tour the Hopkinsville Water Treatment Plant, and more. A hotdog lunch will also be served.
