Jeffers Bend – All About Trees Workshop

September 20th- register by September 13th
The workshop is being held to share information with city employees, county employees, utility company employees, urban dwellers, and rural residents on the do’s and don’t in planting, pruning, and maintaining various species of trees.
The presentation will be led by Mike Perry, an Arborist here in Hopkinsville. The presentations will focus on the following:

• Evaluating Trees to Keep or Cut
• Tree Selection for Property Management
• Tree Planting
• Tree Pruning
• Tree Nourishment
• Tree Maintenance
• What Homeowners Insurance Will and Will Not Cover Page 2

The workshop is being held to address the tremendous loss of medium to large trees during the various storms that impacted the City of Hopkinsville, Christian County, and the Pennyrile Area.
According to managers with local utilities, local government, and those in the general public; believe a better informed citizenry on tree maintenance will in a big way, lower cleanup costs for utilities, city and county government, various businesses and homeowners.
