HCCPL- Scribe and Scout Renaissance Faire

We are thrilled to invite you all to our Scribe and Scout Renaissance Faire noon-7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, 1101 Bethel St.

Muster all your courage and take on the Scribe and Scout Quest to earn a reward! During the quest you will be tasked with all kinds of things including riding mythical beasts and testing thy skills at foam axe throwing.

After all that questing, fill your belly with some tasty snacks from food trucks and vendors. Those ages 21 and older are invited to enjoy the pop-up tavern in the library’s parking lot.

While enjoying the festival, be sure to peruse our marketplace filled with talented artisans and crafters.

We also will host a Best Dressed Contest for those dressed in Renaissance Faire garb! Prizes will be awarded.

Finally, at 5 p.m. The Secret Commonwealth Band will take the stage at the outdoor amphitheater to perform a live concert. The band, who regualarly performs at the Tennessee Renaissance Faire and Middle Tennessee Highland Games, is known for their celtic and eclectic folk songs of love, war and drinking.

All activities are free excluding food and beverages, and shopping in the marketplace.
