Horses & Hope Pink Mustang Tour

The Kentucky Cancer Program is bringing its Horses and Hope Pink Mustang Tour to several communities in western Kentucky in celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The tour aims to honor those who have had breast cancer and to promote breast cancer screening. Visitors can add the name of a friend or family member to a pink horseshoe on the Wall of Hope during the event.

• 28 – Pink Out @ WKDZ Radio – 3 pm-5 pm

Free gifts will be given to breast cancer survivors, and free souvenir Horses and Hope wristbands will be available, as well as Horses and Hope merchandise for sale. Breast cancer information will be provided, including referrals for free mammograms for program eligible women. Participants are also encouraged to take photos with the pink car.
Horses and Hope, founded by Former Kentucky First Lady Jane Beshear, is an initiative of the Kentucky Cancer Program, the state mandated cancer control program, to increase breast cancer awareness, education, screening, and treatment referrals and to honor breast cancer survivors through special events. The Horses and Hope pink car travels the state for programs and special events.
