The Christian County Health Department has rescheduled their Thursday vaccination clinic at the James E. Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville.
Todd County reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday and the county’s 26th death since the pandemic began. Eight of the ten cases reported were in a congregate setting and announced on the same day the Todd
Trigg County reported seven new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and stayed out of the ‘red’ on the state’s incidence rate map for a third straight day. However, three of the seven cases reported involved people 21 and under.
Christian County’s active COVID-19 case total increased by 34 Tuesday to 416 which is still the second-lowest in the past 11 days.
Governor Andy Beshear said Kentucky will be receiving a six-percent increase in COVID-19 vaccines next week although impending winter weather this week will likely close some vaccination sites.
The Christian County Health Department reported three deaths Monday related to the COVID-19 virus bringing the county’s total to 78 since the onset of the pandemic.
Trigg County’s COVID-19 case total was in single-digits for a fifth straight day Monday, with February’s case total running below the previous three months.
Kentucky has vaccinated just under 10-percent of the state’s population in the fight against COVID-19 with 91-percent of the state’s allotment of shots ending up in arms.
Kentucky has seen four consecutive weeks of declining weekly COVID-19 case numbers and test positivity, with several of Monday’s totals the fewest since the weeks before the first Thanksgiving surge.
