A man and woman were injured in a wreck on Pennyrile State Park Road in Christian County Thursday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a car driven by Matthew Pendley was eastbound about a mile from Dawson Springs Road when he ran off the road and hit a tree. Pendley claimed he swerved to miss a deer causing the crash. Deputies say it’s unclear what time the crash happened.
Pendley and his passenger Katie Outlaw were both taken by Hopkinsville EMS to waiting helicopters to transport them to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for possible severe injuries.
