Christian County Judge-Executive Jerry Gilliam has confirmed to Your News Edge that state parks officials are considering the closure of the golf course at Pennyrile Forest State Park.
Gilliam shared that Kentucky Parks Commissioner Russ Meyer intends to close the course in northern Christian County, near Dawson Springs.
Gilliam added the golf course is the most costly to maintain across the park system, with $100 in maintenance costs for every round of golf played there.
