A Cadiz man was charged with possession of drugs during a traffic stop on Rockcastle Road Tuesday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Kevin Chapman for his license plate not being properly illuminated and an improper turn.
During the stop, he was found to have a flashlight taped to the vehicle in an attempt to illuminate the license plate.
Deputies say he used his brother’s name and date of birth as his own, and after further investigation, under his real name, he was found to have a DUI suspended license.
A search of his vehicle reportedly led to a bag of suspected meth.
He was arrested and charged with possession of meth, driving on a DUI suspended license first offense, failure to or improper signal, license to be in possession, and failure to wear seat belts.
