Jessie Ray Dowdy, age 63, of Memphis formerly of Hopkinsville, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN of natural causes. Graveside will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Dowdy was born in Little Rock, AR, on November 6, 1961, the son of the late Sterling Maurice and Neoma L. Foley Dowdy. Jessie worked at the University of Memphis in the service department. He was a member of the Church of Chris in Hernando, MS.
Survivors include his brothers, Kendall Dowdy of Utica, KY, and Roy Dowdy of Fairfax, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
