Dr. Nina Ahrin Helps Trigg County Relay Celebrate Survivors

More than 130 cancer survivors, family, friends, and other community members celebrated during the annual Trigg County Relay for Life Survivor Dinner Tuesday night.

Featured speaker for the event was Dr. Nina Arhin with the EC Green Cancer Center. Dr. Ahrin said she sees first hand what it means for someone to find out they have cancer.

click to download audioFollowing Dr. Ahrin’s remarks, Relay for Life Dinner Chairman Tammy Phillips recognized Bill Fuller and Margie Myers for surviving cancer the longest of those in attendance. Committee members also recognized the oldest survivors, youngest survivors, and more.

Phillips noted this dinner marks a milestone for the Bank of Cadiz sponsorship of the Trigg County Relay for Life Survivor Dinner.
