A restaurant on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Oak Grove was evacuated after a suspicious item was found in a vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
Oak Grove Police say they were called to the area for a man who died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a field behind Sonic and found a suspicious object in his car that led them to block off the area.
The restaurant was evacuated and members of Fort Campbell’s bomb squad unit were called to check the object that was found to be some old wires that led to the trunk.
Police say during the investigation, Fort Campbell Boulevard was temporarily blocked.
