Sarah was a member of First Street Baptist Church where she was the Secretary of Sunday School and a member of the Senior and Sanctuary Choirs. Previously, she was the manager of AME Homes.
Sarah was a caregiver for kids and loved to crochet and iron. She was known as the “Forrest Park Mom”. She was a part of the Lord and Ladies Social Club.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Samuel Taylor, Sr; brothers, Thomas Torian and Virgil Torian, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Eric (Franque) Evans, Samuel (Lynette) Taylor, Jr, Linda (Leon) Oldham, Karen Wallace, and Kimberly Taylor; brother, William (Diana) Torian; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; Godchild, Laka (Isaac) Wilson; devoted niece, Teresa (Austin) Moss; devoted son-in-law, Leon Oldham
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Services will be held on Friday, August 16 at 11:30 am at First Street Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will begin Friday morning at 10:00 at the church.
