A Hopkinsville man and woman were charged with possession of drugs after a request to check on a woman on East 20th Street Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they got out with 66-year-old Jack Hudson who said he was helping 26-year-old Rosita Patino with a tire and gave officers consent to search his vehicle.
A box reportedly containing meth and a syringe were found in the vehicle.
They were both arrested and charged with possession of meth. Patino was also arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
