Helene Anne Evans, 76, of Oak Grove, died at 10:46 a.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is assisting with the arrangements.
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania she was born January 16, 1948, the daughter of the late John Henry Kopaz and Regina Rose Kut Kopaz. She worked as a teacher’s aide. She also enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, and knitting.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband: William James Evans III; her brothers: David Kopaz and John Kopaz; her son-in-law: Raymond Applegate.
Survivors include her children: William James Evans IV; Jacob (Sara) Evans of Deer Park, TX; Jason Evans of Oak Grove, KY; Joshua Evans of Philadelphia, PA; Regina H. Evans of Philadelphia, PA; Jennifer J. Applegate of Philadelphia, PA; Jessica Rose (Carlos) Goulbourne of Jersey City, NJ; her brother: James Kopaz of South Carolina; and her sister: Regina Keenan of Sarasota, FL; her stepdaughter: Tiziana (Carlos) Rodriguez; her 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
