Schrock Named Trigg County Schools Director Of Transportation

With Erin Eagleson bound for the district’s newly-renovated vocational school, and Tim Bush already working as new principal for the Caldwell County Regional Career Center, Trigg County Schools officials had spent the last few weeks looking for a new Director of Transportation.

That search officially concluded Monday afternoon, when it was announced Scott Schrock would be taking the position.

A native of Orrville, Ohio, and graduate of Orrville High School, his pursuit of academic and professional goals began at Kent State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics secondary education, and later snagged a master’s degree in teacher leadership at Murray State University.

From there, Schrock earned another master’s degree in administrative education from University of the Cumberlands.

His teaching career began as a high school math teacher at Christian County High School, and after two years as a Colonel, he moved to Trigg County High School — where he has been a dedicated math teacher since 2011.

In addition to teaching math, he has shown commitment to local students by coaching youth sports — serving as an assistant varsity football coach for three years, and the current bass fishing coach for 12 years.

For the previous six years, he has also taken on the role as a full-time bus driver for the district.

As such, he said he’s “thrilled to continue his commitment to the students and community of Trigg County,” where he and his wife, Lacey — now the district’s director of curriculum and instruction — have two sons: 12-year-old Gavin, and 8-year-old Caden.
