If you travel KY 126 (Cobb Road) between Cerulean and Highway 139, you’ll need to make plans to take an alternate route beginning Monday as a contractor with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to demolish and replace the Burns Creek Bridge in Caldwell County.
State transportation officials said Scott and Murphy will close the KY 126 bridge over Burns Creek, to begin demolition on Monday. The bridge work is expected to be completed in October.
Message boards warning of the impending closure have already been placed on the road. There is a marked detour in place using Blackhawk Road, KY 139, and KY 514.
