Harold ‘Ned’ Elsberry, 85, of Hopkinsville

Memorial services for 85-year-old Harold “Ned” Elsberry, of Hopkinsville, will be 2 PM Friday, July 12, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 PM until the service hour.

Survivors include:
His wife, Helen Webb Elsberry, of the home;
Son: Devin (Breanne) Hunter, of Sarasota, Florida;
Daughters: Elizabeth Pearson (Rick Hamilton) Elsberry, of Hopkinsville, Cynthia Marie (Jimmy) Mediano, of Cape Coral, Florida, and Amy Grace Hunter, of Hopkinsville;
Brother: George P. (Darby) Elsberry, of Columbus, Mississippi;
Sister: Kathryn Johnson, of Memphis, Tennessee;
Grandchildren: Jessica; Matthew; Jonathon; Clara; Zachary; Brian; Ashley; Derrick;
And nine great grandchildren.

He died at 8:40 AM Thursday, July 4, 2024, at his residence.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, he was born August 8, 1938, the son of late Harold Elsberry, Sr. and Elizabeth Pearson Elsberry.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he received the Bronze Star Medal.

After retiring from the Army, he was self-employed at Elsberry Masonry. He was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son: Mark Edward Elsberry and brother-in-law: David Johnson.
