Turns out that it can actually get too hot to play golf. With a Heat Advisory in effect and the possibility of the heat index reaching as high as 110 degrees, officials with the Hopkinsville Girls Invitational made the decision Tuesday morning to postpone their event.
The tournament is now set for August 6th at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
The guys were able to get in their event on Monday, but conditions Tuesday were expected to worsen in terms of heat, and there was the possibility of severe weather developing over the course of the day.
