Margaret Prevette, 82, of Christian County

Funeral services for 82-year-old Margaret Prevette, of Christian County, will be 11 AM Monday at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

Visitation will be from 9 AM until the funeral hour.

Survivors include:
Husband of 62 years, Ralph Prevette;
Her sons: Eddie (Deborah) Prevette of Herndon, and Dan (Sharon) Prevette, of Lexington;
Her sister: Norene (Ronnie) Vanhoy, of Hamptonville, North Carolina;
Her grandchildren: Benjamin (Gabrielle) Prevette and Annika Prevette;
And her great grandchildren: Abigale Prevette and Cooper Prevette.

Rev. Harry Todd and Rev. Benjamin Prevette are officiating.

She died at 8:09 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

A native of Yadkin County, North Carolina, she was born August 11, 1941 the daughter of late Rufus and Pauline Shore.

She was a graduate of the Elkin Business School. She worked as an accounting assistant for Hopkinsville Bookkeeping and later drove a school bus for Sinking Fork Elementary School for 17 years.

She was a member of Herndon Methodist Church where she served as church pianist and treasurer. She was a member of the old Bluegrass Homemakers Club in Gracey. She also worked as an election officer for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lowell “Toby” Shore.
