Private services will be held at a later date for 96-year-old Barbara Jean Thompson Moore, of Hopkinsville.
Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include:
Her daughter: Brenda Jean (Chris) McDonald, of Kingston Springs, Tennessee;
Her sons: Alan (Debby) Moore, Steven Moore, and David Moore, all of Hopkinsville;
Her grandchildren: Kent Gilliam, Davis (Tiffany) Moore, Mitchell (Griffin) Moore, Jordan McDonald, and Mayana Ward;
And six great grandchildren.
She died at 11:19 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at her residence.
A native of Shelburn, Indiana, she was born November 10, 1927 the daughter of late William Henry Thompson and Cassie Williams Thompson.
She had worked in the cafeteria at Lacy School. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Edward “Ed” Moore; her two sisters; and her brother.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Pennyroyal Hospice.
