Severe storms that resulted in significant damage in Cadiz and Trigg County have prompted city and council officials declare a state of emergency.
Trigg County Judge Executive Stan Humphries signed the order Sunday afternoon, with the declaration to open the door for potential assistance in the wake of the damage.
