Former Hopkinsville Mayor Joins HSWE Board

Officials with the City of Hopkinsville have announced that former Mayor Wendell Lynch has accepted a position on the Hopkinsville Solid Waste Enterprise Board.

According to a release, his distinguished career is marked by “exemplary leadership, fiscal responsibility, and financial expertise,” bringing “invaluable experience and insight to this vital role.”

Furthermore, his tenure as mayor of Hopkinsville can be characterized by “prudent budget management,” and a “steadfast commitment to community welfare” — alongside a proven track record of “effective governance and strategic decision making” while serving.

Troy Body, city administrator, wrote that Lynch’s integrity, along with his fiscal and managerial experience, “make him the man for the moment,” and that his lifetime of “exemplary service to his hometown” has earned, and maintained, public trust.
