An event at Christian Care Communities located on Sterling Drive just off Cox Mill Road celebrated local seniors Thursday afternoon.
Christian Care Communities Hopkinsville Executive Director Luanne Tatum told the News Edge this event recognizes May’s Older Americans Month in celebration of wisdom and experience.
Tatum says this is what her job is all about adding the event is all free and helps the community learn about the organization.
The event includes a car show, music, Heather’s homemade ice cream, door prizes, and free tours of The Village garden homes.
The event started at 1 p.m. Thursday and will end at 4 p.m. and is located at 200 Sterling Drive.
