Memorial services for 75-year-old Jimmy Powell of Hopkinsville will be 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Living Hope Baptist Church Eagle Way Campus with Rev. Darrell Crawford officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until the service time. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is assisting with the arrangements.
Jimmy Powell, 75, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 7:53 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at his residence.
A native of Christian County, KY he was born February 4, 1949 the son of the late William David Powell and Virginia Rachel Jones Powell. He owned and operated Jimmy Powell’s Home Improvement for over 30 plus years. He was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. He was an avid pool player and fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Rachel Joyce Powell, William Elwood Powell, Patty Powell, Nancy Powell, and Otis Lynn Powell.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Ruby Powell; his daughters: Vickie (Ross) Littlepage of Empire, KY and Kimberly (Jeff) Louderback of Louisville, KY; his sister: Diane Trump of Hopkinsville, KY; his granddaughter: Frazia (Brian) Sanders; and his great grandchildren: Seth Sanders, Lilth Sanders, and Vaden Sanders.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Pennyroyal Hospice of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
