Nancy Goodman, age 85, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at her home with loved ones by her side.
Born on April 17, 1938, in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late John and Joanna (Haafe) Keeling.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a hardworking homemaker. Her home was a testament to her handy skills, from the deck she built with her own hands to the countless repairs she made working outside over the years. She was fiercely independent and never afraid to take on any challenge.
A proud resident of Dover, Nancy was committed to serving others in her community, exemplified by her volunteer work at the Good Samaritan Center for more than 25 years. As a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Dover, her faith in God was the cornerstone of her life. She will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Goodman; her brother, Buck Keeling; and two stepsons, Gary Griffin and Larry Griffin.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan K. Lee (Billy) of Clarksville, Tenn. and Tracy Wallace (Ken) of Big Rock, Tenn.; two sons, Wayne Griffin of Franklin, N.C., and Dale Griffin of Nevada; a stepson, Blake Griffin of Nevada; four grandchildren, Frederick Estey, Christopher Lee, Rebecca Rivera, and Shawn Wallace; and four great-grandchildren, Abigail Rivera, Hunter Lee, William Rivera, and Dalton Brooke.
At Nancy’s request, there will be no services. She will be cremated and her ashes will be spread over Cottrell Ridge Road, where she lived happily for many years.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz.
