A Celebration of Life for 68 year old David Howard Fitzwater of Portland, TN formerly of Cadiz KY will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 3:00 pm at King’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at King’s Funeral Home.
David is survived by his Wife of 36 years, Jacqueline Fitzwater, sons, David Trevor Fitzwater, Garry McGonigle , James Fitzwater and Grandchildren, LaRae Carpenter, Lydia McGonigle, Laken McGonigle, Layla McGonigle and Patrick McGonigle, nephews, Andrew Sexton (April), Charles Sexton (April), one great niece and three great nephews and brother-in-law, Audie Sexton. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Betty Fitzwater, his sister, Betty Jane Sexton, and son Patrick Fitzwater.
David played on the two championship football teams in 1970-1971 and 1971-1972 for Trigg County High School and the 1970 Regional Basketball Championship Team. All of theses are now in the Kentucky High School Hall of Fame. David was also a US Air Force Veteran.
