Trigg Says Thank You To Agriculture, Presents Several Awards

Trigg County says thank you to agriculture with the help of well-known livestock judge and youth mentor Terry Burks, who has officiated more than 1,200 livestock shows in 28 states across the country.

Burks told those on hand for the annual dinner at the Trigg County Recreation Complex that he has been blessed to work with wonderful youth during his career.

click to download audioDuring the awards ceremony Trigg County 4-H Agent Shelly Crawford presented outstanding youth in agriculture honors to Jaserra Crenshaw and Caden Coleman, with Crawford highlighting the work of Crenshaw during her 4-H career.

click to download audioTrigg County FFA Advisor Jodie P’Pool presented the Outstanding FFA Youth in Agriculture Award to Anna Sink.

click to download audioAnd retired Trigg County Agriculture Extension Agent John Fourqurean was recognized for being inducted into the Kentucky Cattleman’s Hall of Fame in January.

The meal was catered by Hancock’s Neighborhood Market.
