A Hopkinsville woman was injured in a wreck on East 9th Street Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say a car driven by 42-year-old Amber Garrett of Herndon was westbound on East 9th Street at the intersection of Pennyrile Parkway when her rental car collided with the vehicle in front of her driven by 19-year-old Alyssa Bearns.
Garrett reportedly told police she was not used to the car and when it started beeping it caused her to remove her feet from the pedals.
Bearns was checked out by EMS but went to the hospital by private vehicle for head injuries.
