Funeral services for 90-year-old Billy Gene Mitcherson, of Benton, and formerly of Trigg County, will be 1 PM Thursday at Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
Interment will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour.
Survivors include:
His wife of 65 years, Sue Mitcherson;
Two daughters, Debbie Burchett (Michael), of Kirksey, and Denise Harrison (Barry), of Hardin;
Five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Rev. Samantha Hall is officiating.
Mitcherson died Sunday, February 11, 2024, at his residence.
He was born in Trigg County on December 27, 1933, to the late Jimmie Mitchuson and Gracie Cassity Mitchuson.
He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, and later worked in maintenance at Kenlake State Resort Park.
He was a jack-of-all-trades who could fix anything and enjoyed hunting and fishing. More than anything, he loved and adored his grandchildren and greats. Billy was a member of Union Ridge Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, his twin, Betty Hunter, Charlene Lyons, and Irene Compton; three brothers, Kirby Mitcherson, Holly Mitcherson and James Willie Mitcherson.
