Shirley Hunt, 72, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at St. Thomas West Hospital, Nashville, of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024 at Lamb Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the funeral home.
A native of Christian County, she was born May 16, 1951, the daughter of the late Leonard Cecil White and the late Elva (Young) White.
Shirley worked at Flynn’s for 20 years and later was a machine operator at Freudenberg Filtration Technologies. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wayne Hunt; her brothers, John White, Bob White, and Clifford White; and her sisters, Dee Hurlburt, Wanda Austin, Lynn Robinson, and Evelyn Phillips.
Survivors include her son, Gary Wayne Hunt, Columbus, TN; her daughters, Bridgette Culp, Hopkinsville, KY, Tammy (Dennis) Young, Orlando, FL, and Debbie (Bruce Holder) Morse, Hopkinsville, KY; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
