WKY Correctional Complex Recycling Discontinued

County officials have announced that the West Kentucky Correctional Complex will no longer be accepting the county’s recyclables for processing, effective immediately.

According to officials, the West Kentucky Correctional Complex, which has been providing recycling services to Caldwell, Crittenden, Livingston, Lyon, and Trigg counties, has notified the county they are permanently terminating its recycling program. They said this decision was made due to safety and other concerns.

As a result, local officials have stated that the County Recycling Center will be temporarily closed until further notice. They are working to explore alternative solutions during this time.

County officials request your patience as they work towards identifying new processing opportunities.
