City Council Told Hopkinsville Water Park in Need of Repairs

The City of Hopkinsville continues to show signs of recovery with over-budgeted revenue streams, but some of those stockpiled funds could soon be going to repairs at the Bluegrass Splash Family Aquatic Center.

Tuesday night, Chief Financial Officer Melissa Clayton gave her monthly report citing a good month in December.

click to download audioShe adds business licenses are up as well and most departments are running under budget for the first six months of the year.

In other business, City Council approved the second reading of zoning changes for Lafayette Road and the first reading of zoning changes for Canton Pike and Major Lane.

Meanwhile, Public Works Director, Mike Perry asked City Council to consider updates to the Bluegrass Splash Water Park.
