Nancy West Powell, age 89, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Bradford Heights Nursing Home of natural causes.
Funeral Services will be at Noon on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hale Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 12:00 Noon on Monday, January 22, 2024. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Powell was born in Christian County, on December 21, 1934, the daughter of the late Walter Henry and Bertha Meachum West. Nancy was an LPN for over 20 years working at Bradford Heights and Christian Health. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Garth, Thural, and Elwood West, and a sister, Tula Davis.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas R. Powell and his wife Nancy of Elkton, and Gregory W. Powell of Elkton; her three sisters, Clina Mae Norfleet, Dorothy Jungles, and Betty Johnson all of Hopkinsville; two grandchildren, Mary Beth Davis and her husband, Tim, and Marshall Wayne Powell; and two great-grandchildren; Ellie and Jake Davis.
