Three Charged After Hopkinsville Pursuit

Two men and a woman have been charged after a police pursuit in Hopkinsville Tuesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a car driven by 21-year-old Joventa Collins on East 7th Street for failing to use his turn signal and he fled before pulling into a gravel lot off South Campbell Street and then driving off again.

Collins reportedly got up to speeds of 80 mph before hitting a bridge on East 18th Street at South Campbell Street.

Police say Collins and his two passengers 23-year-old Jaylen McGee and 23-year-old Kaitlynn Rhodes were taken into custody and after a search of the vehicle marijuana, Buprenorphine, forged checks, a printer, a laptop, a card reader, and multiple phones were found.

They were all three arrested and charged with third-degree forgery and first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Collins was also charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and several traffic violations.
