More than 90 members of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church combined efforts Friday and Saturday, December 16 and 17, to recreate the town of Bethlehem.

A large crowd made their way through village on Friday night, with visitorship Saturday night somewhat lower due to rain showers that moved through. Visitors were greeted by a generous tax collector at the front gate to the city who gave out a wooden coin that was used for hot chocolate and cookies at the bakery in the village. Those visiting had a chance to stop at several locations including the synagogue, bakery, carpenter shop, basket shop, and others. The highlight of the village was Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus. They were surrounded by a host of animals including sheep, goats, cows, and a camel.

This was the second year church members hosted the Walk Through Bethlehem that was located across from Saints Peter and Paul on 9th Street.
