KSP’s ‘Cram The Cruiser’ Finishes Up This Weekend

Kentucky State Police officials have announced that this is the final weekend for “Cram the Cruiser,” their annual food drive to help combat hunger in local communities.

The initiative is hosted by all KSP posts, and collects essential food items through the holiday season for those in need.

It runs until December 4, after efforts began November 21 — just before Thanksgiving.

Troopers have been stationed at various grocery and retail stores across the state through the last two weeks, but a simultaneous statewide signature event is planned for Friday, in which each post area will make a final push prior to Christmas and New Year’s Day.

For Post 1, this will be 10 AM until 2 PM at the Murray Kroger, located at 808 N. 12th Street.

For Post 2, this will be 9 AM until 3 PM at the Madisonville Kroger, located at 545 Island Ford Road.

And for Post 3, this will be from 10 AM until 2 PM at the Bowling Green Sam’s Club, located at 3200 Bale Boulevard.

In 2022, KSP collected more than 210,000 pounds of food, with Post 16 collecting the most donations at 142,553 pounds.
